Foster Grandparents:
Mentoring Children & Building Futures
Easterseals North Georgia’s Foster Grandparents Program connects volunteers ages 55+ with children to provide one‑on‑one mentoring, tutoring, and emotional support. As a Foster Grandparent, you can help children learn to read, improve behavior, and grow confidence. Our Foster Grandparents are role models, mentors, and friends. Put simply they help give the kind of comfort and love that sets a child on the path toward a successful future.

The Foster Grandparents Program provides both service and income opportunities for persons 55 and older with limited incomes.
As a Foster Grandparent, you can earn a tax-free stipend while providing a critical service for at-risk children in your community. 15-40 hours each week volunteers serve as mentors, tutors, and caregivers within our Early Education and Care centers to economically disadvantaged students by working one-on-one with them to improve behavioral and educational outcomes.
From working with children with disabilities, those in foster care, or those with difficult living situations our Foster Grandparents provide the kind of comfort and love that sets a child on a path to a successful future.
